Traits and Me

Traits to me aren’t necessarily characteristics that are only inherited. I believe that a trait is more a distinguishing quality, and while some are born with them, they can also be learned and perfected. One trait that I admire is honesty. Honesty goes deeper than just “telling the truth”. Honesty is telling people things they don’t necessarily want to hear, but should know. It’s admitting when you are wrong or you don’t have the best idea. A lot of people would claim that they are honest, but true honesty is a trait that is not often found in people. This is why it is a trait I admire. It is not easy to be an honest person.

Another trait that I admire is adaptability. In this constantly changing world, it is almost impossible not to adapt to new situations, but of course there are some that are much more adaptable than others. It is important to be able to change how you would handle something based on the situation. In our industry, nothing is ever “cookie cutter”, no two situations are the same, so you have to be able to adapt your solution whatever the case may be.

The third major trait that I admire is positivity

. I know as much as anyone that it is difficult to remain positive during times of difficulties. But if someone can keep a positive attitude, and keep those around them positive, it can be easier for everyone to keep a level head and keep the stress of whatever they are facing to a minimum. There are times when a positive outlook can make a world of difference.
